JAMES VINCE backed up his match-winning century for England with more runs in the Blast as Hampshire toppled Essex by 18 runs at the Ageas Bowl.
The hosts came into the contest needing a victory and captain Vince was in red-hot form after his unbeaten 102 helped England secure an ODI series sweep of Pakistan.
And he followed it up with a classy 63 as Hampshire racked up a total of 171-8.
D’Arcy Short (30), Colin De Grandhomme (32) and Lewis McManus (25) also featured as Essex were left with a far from straightforward chase in Southampton.
