A win against a fairly middling New Zealand side at Wellington in March 2008 might not feel like too big a deal over 16 years on.
But former England coach Peter Moores believes it’s a game that changed the direction of the national side – and turned Jimmy Anderson from an outsider into one of the first names on the teamsheet.
Anderson will play the final Test of his astonishing career against the West Indies at Lord’s in July. Then he’ll walk away from the longest format as the most prolific fast bowling wicket taker in history.
