Few people are as familiar with the talents that have turned Joe Root into a serial English cricket record-breaker as Kevin Sharp.
The former Yorkshire batter and coach worked extensively with Root when he was coming through the ranks at Headingley, watching him develop from a technically correct youngster to a player who would burst into the White Rose’s first team in 2010.
Within two years he would be making his England debut.
