Chamari Athapaththu struck 55 off just 31 balls as Sri Lanka pulled off a historic eight-wicket win over England in the second T20I at Chelmsford yesterday.
The visiting spinners excelled as the hosts were bowled out for just 104, and then came the power of Athapaththu. Sri Lanka’s captain smashed eight fours and two sixes to set up her side’s first ever win over England in T20Is.
