For the first time ever in 2016 fans at Lashings All-Stars matches will be able to follow the score on a state-of-the-art SMART scoreboard, provided by Quickscore.
Having previously had to rely on old-fashioned telegraph-style scoreboards, players and fans will now be able to see the precise match situation after every single delivery, thanks to Quickscore’s brand new digital machines.
At the touch of a button the scorer can now use CricHQ’s scoring app to keep the entire ground updated with the runs scored by each batsman, the bowler’s figures and, most crucially, the runs required for the chasing team to win.
Lashings Operations Manager James Honey-Green said: “This will transform the match day experience for players and fans. In the past we’ve had some really exciting games but not everyone in the crowd has known how many runs were needed and how many balls were left. It’s going to ratchet up the excitement for everyone involved.”
Quickscore’s screens use the latest technology to provide a large, full-colour display visible from every part of the ground. The scoreboards are wirelesslycontrolled and can be used at absolutely any venue.
David Geensen of Quickscore said: “We are very much looking forward to our partnership with Lashings All Stars for the 2016 season, it’s a fantastic opportunity for clubs across the country to see our Quickscore SMART Scoreboard in use during top level cricket from some of heroes past & present. We are also really pleased and excited to be helping the BREDS Foundation in Jamaica by donating the scoreboard at the end of the season. ”
As part of the deal between Quickscore and Lashings, Quickscore will be donating a scoreboard to the BREDS Foundation, our supported charity for the 2016 season. Honey-Green said: “This is a fantastic gesture by Quickscore. They absolutely love cricket at Treasure Beach and the new scoreboard will give the facilities there a real boost.”
