The ECB have announced a 15-man Physical Disability squad for the upcoming T20 tournament in Dubai.
The England Physical Disability team will head to Dubai later this month to compete in the ICC Academy Dubai Invitational T20 tournament for people with physical disability.
The competition, which runs from 19 to 25 October, will see Afghanistan, Bangladesh, England and Pakistan compete for the prize.
The England squad will be looking to defend the title they won in Bangladesh last year. The side will be captained by Iain Nairn (pictured) and includes three uncapped players; Lee Clarke, Joe Seabridge and Lee Walker.
England disability player of the year, Callum Flynn, will have the opportunity to represent England for the first time since receiving the award from Alastair Cook at the England Cricketer of the Year Award dinner.
ECB’s Head of Disability Cricket Ian Martin said: “This tour is vital preparation as we build towards the 2019 World Championship in England. We are really looking forward to testing ourselves against some of the best sides in the sub-continent and our aim is to retain the trophy.”
“It is very encouraging to welcome Lee Clarke, Joe Seabridge and Lee Walker into the squad. Their inclusions highlight the quality of players coming through our regional talent programme.”
