AFGHANISTAN coach Phil Simmons believes the choice of India as opposition for his side’s Test debut was right despite a two-day defeat.
The historic match in Bangalore saw the No.1 ranked Test side hammer Afghanistan by an innings and 262 runs inside two days.
Centuries from Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay powered India to 474 before day two saw Afghanistan dismissed for 109 and 103, losing all 20 wickets in a single day.
