IRELAND women’s captain Laura Delany is confident her side can qualify for the World Cup despite their recent white- ball series defeat against New Zealand. The White Ferns inflicted three heavy ODI defeats on Ireland in June – including the highest ODI score of all time, 490-4, in the first game. But Delany’s side get the chance to bounce back in a three-game T20 series against Bangladesh and started with 134-8 on Thursday.
