WITH a few honourable exceptions, there is a clearly defined structure to movie sequels: a broadly similar cast, with one or two new faces to freshen up the audience, are generally taken to a new location where the same and tried-and-trusted set-pieces from the original are repeated or reimagined with slightly diminishing returns.
