England ODI captain Eoin Morgan has been included in the squad to play Scotland and Australia in June despite a finger injury.

The 31-year-old withdrew from the World XI team to play the West Indies at Lord’s with a fractured finger ruling him out of the Hurricane Relief charity event.

Morgan was set to captain the side at his home ground on Thursday but chipped a bone in the tip of a finger while fielding for Middlesex playing in the One-Day Cup last weekend.

Elsewhere in the squad, selectors were recommended by the team’s medical staff to rest Jos Buttler allowing Sam Billings to return for the Scotland match. However, Buttler will play against Australia.

England will be looking to secure back-to-back wins over Australia in the 50-over format, having recorded a thrilling 4-1 series win in January to lift the mood after the Ashes.
