PETER Handscomb knows that to be a successful cricketer you have to be brutally honest with yourself at all times.
After a whirlwind start to life as a Test batsman – the Victorian became the first man not to have been dismissed for less than 50 in his first seven innings – the 27-year-old has since struggled for consistency.
