Well set on 42, Australia’s Steve Smith turned the ball onto the leg-side to scamper for a couple, and Ealham – the son of former England international Mark – sprinted in from the deep and fired in a throw to wicketkeepet Jonny Bairstow to take down the stumps, with Smith diving full-length in an attempt to make his ground.
