Test plea: Aussie ace Ellyse Perry

AUSTRALIAN pair Meg Lanning and Ellyse Perry have reiterated their support for women’s Test matches, while also hailing the multi-format Ashes as “unique” to the women’s game.
As it stands, multi-format women’s Ashes is based on a points system from each Test, ODI and Twenty20 match played on tour.
A Test win will earn the winning side four points – and two apiece if the match is drawn – while two points are awarded for victories in the limited-overs fixtures.
