Hesson to step down as Black Caps chief

NEW ZEALAND cricket has been left stunned by the shock resignation of coach Mike Hesson yesterday after six years in charge.
The 43-year-old oversaw one of the most successful periods in the Black Caps’ history, guiding them to the 2015 World Cup Final and the world’s top ranking in Twenty 20 cricket.
Now, though, he will step down as coach on July 31 as he felt he could not commit to the job for another 12 months in the run up to next year’s World Cup.
