AJMAL Shahzad admits he is honoured to have been named as the new head coach of the MCC.
The former Yorkshire, Lancashire, Notts, Sussex and Leicestershire pace bowler has taken over Steve Kirby, who has joined Derbyshire’s coaching staff.
He said: “It is a huge honour to be appointed to the role. There has been a lot of hard work behind the scenes but it’s all been worth it, and now I’m looking forward to the years ahead.
