HAMPSHIRE last night clinched the signing of India Test batsman Ajinkya Rahane.
The 30-year-old has signed a deal to become the club’s overseas player – the first ever from India to represent the county.
Rahane will feature in eight County Championship fixtures throughout May, June and the start of July, subject to visa clearance.
He comes in to replace South Africa batsman Aiden Markram, who will end his stint at the Ageas Bowl after the Royal London One-Day Cup group-stage to join up with his national side for the World Cup.
