Aaron Jones lit up the T20 World Cup curtain-raiser by blitzing 94 not out from 40 balls at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas to steer USA to a seven-wicket win over Canada.
Jones’ brutal knock included 10 sixes – only Chris Gayle has hit more in a T20 World Cup innings – and saw the tournament co-hosts to their target of 195 with 14 balls to spare.
