HAVING left his post as Somerset director of cricket at the end of the 2017 season, Matthew Maynard has not spent long away from the game having rejoined Glamorgan as a consultant batting coach.
Maynard, 51, will take up a part-time role at the Welsh county under head coach Robert Croft having previously spent time in Cardiff as captain and director of cricket.
Most recently he was at Somerset but left after a reorganisation of the coaching structure at Taunton.
