Walking cricketers stride on for charity

WALKING cricket is beginning to make huge strides – and it’s ready to bit its bit for charity too!
An active group from the Hucknall Leisure Centre, in Nottinghamshire, are to embark on a fundraising mission for Prostate Cancer.
Last year, group members Ian Moore and Roger Braybrook established an unofficial world record after smashing 856 runs (or walks!) from 64 overs bowled in two hours, raising an impressive £3,250.
Tomorrow, at the same venue, Ian and Roger will attempt to break their own record in an attempt to raise at least £5,000.
