England players return home ahead of IPL playoffs

With the IPL play-offs looming, England’s T20 World Cup squad have returned home from India in preparation for the tournament, leaving many sides without their key overseas players.
Kolkata Knight Riders have lost opening batter, Phil Salt, while England skipper, Jos Buttler was replaced by Tom Kohler-Cadmore on Wednesday for Rajasthan Royals’ loss to Punjab Kings. Liam Livingstone returned home earlier this week slightly ahead of schedule in a bid to recover from a knee injury before the World Cup, saying he wanted to get the problem “sorted” in order to be fit for selection.
