LAUREN Winfield-Hill has taken centre-stage for England this summer, after facing an uncertain future a short time ago.
The England opener, who will be lining up for the Northern Superchargers in the upcoming Hundred, was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease – inflammation of the digestice system which can be fatal – in October 2019.
The diagnosis hit her hard and led her to question whether she had a future in the sport.
