FREYA Davies learnt her trade playing alongside legendary England bowler Anya Shrubsole at Western Storm, so being tipped to follow in her mentor’s footsteps is a huge vote of confidence.
Shrubsole, hero of England’s 2017 World Cup victory, recently backed Davies to lead England’s attack ‘for years to come’ and said she was a big fan of the 25-year-old fast bowler.
Davies has cemented a regular spot in the England T20I side, playing all three games in the recent series against India, while Shrubsole sat on the subs’ bench. F...
