Young Stars can revel on big stage, says Smith

BRYONY Smith believes South East Stars’ academy graduates will take the challenge of today’s Charlotte Edwards Cup Final in their stride.
Stars headed to Hampshire’s Ageas Bowl still without skipper Tash Farrant, new-ball bowler Freya Davies and leading run-scorer Sophia Dunkley, all away with England.
Their absence has seen home-grown talents like Emma Jones, Kira Chathli, and Kalea Moore grasp their chance when called upon such as fast bowler Jones’s swashbuckling 46 off 27 balls against Central Sparks which sent Stars to final’s day.
