Not long to wait now. Seven weeks of gorging ourselves on an orgy of ramps, scoops, helicopters,flamingos, reverse sweeps, and strokes that have yet to be invented. Let’s hope the hard pressed NHS can cope, but I’ve popped a thermometer into the nation’s mouth, and the chances of keeping World Cup Fever down to anything less than an epidemic appear remote.
