One club man Croft aims to go into testimonial year as a champion

FOR THIS week’s crunch clash against Warwickshire in the County Championship, Lancashire skipper Steven Croft opted to drop himself to make room for Jos Buttler.
And in the same week that Croft, 32, was awarded his testimonial at Old Trafford, nothing could better epitomise his team-first mentality.
Born and raised in his home county, he has made more than 450 appearances in the Red Rose and becomes the first Lancastrian since Jimmy Anderson in 2012 to be honoured with a testimonial.
