Paul Prichard appointed Head Coach of Hampshire Women

Paul Prichard has been appointed as Head Coach of Hampshire , on an interim basis, until the end of the 2025 season.

Prichard joined the staff at Utilita Bowl in 2022 and has worked as batting coach for Southern Vipers, the regional women’s team based at the ground, and on the men and boys’ pathway.

A former professional cricketer, Prichard carved out an illustrious career with , where he played from 1982-2001.

He featured over 300 times in First-Class cricket, where he scored more than 16,000 , and played in 299 List A matches where he scored over 7,000 runs.

Paul Prichard, Hampshire Women Head Coach, said: “I feel honoured to accept the role of Interim Head Coach of Hampshire Women. Having worked alongside for the past four years and knowing how the core values, culture and the cricketing ethos of the that she put in place meant to her, it will be a privilege to continue to build on those.

“I very much look forward to continuing my work with a talented squad of players with a good blend of youth and experience alongside an excellent support staff.”

Hampshire Women play their first match of 2025 on Wednesday 23 April against at , before a first home match against Surrey on Sunday 27 April.
