IRELAND were denied the opportunity of levelling their three-match One-Day series with Zimbabwe after rain washed out their second ODI mid-innings.
The Irish, trailing 1-0 in the series after Zimbabwe’s 38-run success in Wednesday’s opener, produced an impressive late rally to reach 282-8 at the close.
Harry Tector led the assault as his rapid 55 from 42 balls ensured Ireland put up a healthy scoreafter being inserted under the cloudy Belfast sky.
