Rule on fake fielding is right to be enforced, says Ackermann

LEICESTERSHIRE skipper Colin Ackerman has backed the ECB’s move to outlaw so-called fake fielding. The practice of sliding and feigning a throw can cause chaos and has become increasingly popular recently.
But a winter rule change means it’s now prohibited and the Foxes were the benefactors in their victory over Nottinghamshire last Friday.
In a tight chase they were awarded five penalty runs following Steven Mullaney’s antics and went on to win off the penultimate ball.
