LEICESTERSHIRE skipper Colin Ackerman has backed the ECB’s move to outlaw so-called fake fielding. The practice of sliding and feigning a throw can cause chaos and has become increasingly popular recently.
But a winter rule change means it’s now prohibited and the Foxes were the benefactors in their victory over Nottinghamshire last Friday.
