YORKSHIRE’S former England opening bat, lefthander Adam Lyth, 32, prepared perfectly this week for the county’s campaign in the Vitality Blast by scoring his 24th firstclass hundred.
Lyth’s 103, a combination of characteristic fluency and patience against Lancashire in the Bob Willis Trophy at Headingley, came as a a strong reminder of how important Lyth’s experience is just now in both red and white-ball cricket.
