THE destination of the Second XI Championship title hung in the balance as Durham and Essex resume hostilities today.
The two sides’ showdown at Chester-le-Street was halted for bad light just before 5pm last night, with Durham standing on 55-4, chasing 193.
Essex’s Matt Coles had claimed three early wickets during the hosts’ second innings on Thursday, including that of opener Ross Greenwell, who made 22.
