A cut above: Luke Wells hits out for Sussex

A CRIPPLING injury layoff has somehow heralded some of the best form of his career, and Sussex batsman Luke Wells isn’t hanging around to ask any questions.
Last month the 26-year-old wielded his bat exquisitely and smashed an imperious 258 to help Sussex demolish Durham in the County Championship – with the Eastbourne native also beating the best-ever score of his father Alan, a former England international.
It was his second game back after eight months out with a knee injury.
