Wicketkeeper Wheater extends Essex contract

ESSEX have handed a new two-year contract to wicket-keeper batsman Adam Wheater.
The 30-year-old is now tied to the current county champions until 2022.
Essex head coach, Anthony McGrath was delighted to keep his man, saying: “Adam is an experienced campaigner and has consistently shown his quality both behind the stumps and with the bat.”
