ZAHEER Abbas believes it’s only a matter of time before international cricket returns to Pakistan – and thinks it should have happened far sooner.
An ICC World XI will travel to Lahore in September to play a three-match series against Pakistan in the Independence Cup.
It will be the first major international series on Pakistan soil since the attack on the Sri Lankan team bus in the city in March 2009, an atrocity which effectively began an eight-year hiatus for top class cricket in the country.
