Having taken the view that I would be disappointed if Yorkshire did not achieve promotion, there were times when eggs were being lined up.

Having taken the pre-season view that I would be disappointed if Yorkshire did not achieve promotion, there were times early season when there were eggs being lined up.
Indeed, without a win in the first half of their campaign, the low point came as early as the third match at Lord’s.
