Andre Russell banned for one year

All-rounder has been banned from for one year by an independent anti-doping panel after missing three drugs tests.

Russell failed to tell authorities where he was on three occasions in 2015 and under the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) rules, that equates to one failed doping .

The ban is effective from today (January 31) with Patrick Foster, Russell’s lawyer, saying he would discuss all options with the West Indian including appealing the ban.
