Chris Dent commits future to Gloucestershire

will remain at for another three seasons after signing a new deal which keeps him at the until the end of the 2018 campaign.

Dent, 25, has made 162 appearances in all forms for Gloucestershire scoring over 6,000 and hit a career-best 268 as Gloucestershire drew with in their final game of the 2015 season.

Dent follows Gareth Roderick and slow left arm Tom Smith in committing his future to the .

He said: “Having been here quite a while I need to step up and be one of the main players. I am a senior player now and I need to take on that sort of role.

“Last year I didn’t have a stand-out season in white ball so hopefully I can improve on that and keep going well in the red ball stuff.”
