England coach Trevor Bayliss to join IPL’s Sunrisers after Ashes

Bayliss will replace fellow Australian Tom Moody as the head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Bayliss was named as England head coach in May 2015 and is set to leave his role with them at the end of the upcoming Ashes series.

Bayliss, 56, has significant achievements until now in white-ball adding his World Cup triumph to his multiple titles in franchise cricket.

The Australian won the and League during his spell with the . Meanwhile, Bayliss is already the holder of two IPL titles as coach, winning the Indian Premier League with Kolkata Knight Riders in 2012 and 2014.

Bayliss will replace fellow Australian Tom Moody as the head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The thanked Tom Moody for his work with the franchise praising his “enormous impact” as he guided the team to five playoff finishes in seven years whilst winning the Indian Premier League in 2016.

The franchise went on to add: “We would also like to thank him for his work ethic and leadership over our journey and wish him all the success moving forward.”

Tom Moody has since been linked with the India job as the national team consider applications for the role of head coach.
