When Mickey Arthur was sacked 16 days before the start of the 2013 Ashes series in England, few would have predicted the shallow signs of what would become of Australia under Darren Lehmann. With some noticeable progress, despite a 3-0 series defeat, the Aussies haven’t really looked back.
Improving their one-day play and proving the team to beat with home advantage in this year’s World Cup, the distasteful ridding of a well-liked coach paved the way for a return to the good times.
