The London Sports Writing Festival provides four days of engaging talks between cricket heroes past and present and the journalists that provide coverage of their careers.
Held at the Home of Cricket the event opens this Thursday (12 November) and concludes on Sunday (15 November), where Scyld Berry, Mike Brearley and Ed Smith close the show with a debate on the heart of cricket and why it has been popular globally for a long period of time.
In a format where journalists play host and ex-pros/writers speak, the festival will also see Stuart Broad attend along with: Phil Tufnell, Mike Atherton, Simon Hughes, Steve James, Emma John, and Lawrence Booth.
Also on the roll of proceedings are debates on rugby and football.
Budding sports journalists can also attend other features at the event including masterclasses on how to break into the competitive industry of sport journalism and how you can get your book published.
All events are held in the Thomas Lord Suite, at Lord’s Cricket Ground, and last approximately one hour. There will be a chance to meet the authors and have books signed after each event.
