Shaminda Eranga banned from bowling in international matches

‘s Shaminda Eranga has been banned from in international after his action was reported during the second against .

The 29-year-old was tested on June 6 at the National Cricket Performance Centre in and his action was found to be illegal.

Eranga has played 41 times across all formats for Sri Lanka and he is still able to play domestic cricket in Sri Lanka, with the consent of the country’s cricket board. He can apply for a reassessment of his action once it has been modified.

An statement said: “The assessment revealed that all deliveries exceeded the 15 degrees level of tolerance permitted under the regulations.”

Sri Lanka’s series with England begins on Tuesday.
